The in-between dress

I found this dress whilst on the search for a couple of dresses for work.
I have in my wardrobe lots of summer maxis and heavy knit dresses but nothing for the seasons in between the two.
This dress is perfect as it can be worn with tights and boots for Autumn and sandals and a little cardigan for Spring.
It's so pretty! I adore the crew neckline and the cocoon style skirt.

It's on sale on ASOS at the moment. If you like it, add to your basket now!

I'm sure most of you fashion aware Ladies out there have come across the 'Above the knuckle ring' trend.

I think it’s a great way to keep your hands fashionably up-to-date.

They are difficult to find online but Topshop have some in store. www.bohemiancollective.co.uk  also have a nice collection at reasonable prices.

My favourite bag passed away yesterday :-( My beloved Vintage Satchel which has been with me almost every single day for the last 15 months, is no more.
I love my designer bags but I usually have one high street or vintage bag that I wear to work on a daily basis. It has to be elegant and practical and my vintage satchel was just that. May she R.I.P

Here is her replacement...

£39.99

The sleek Shopper Basket by Zara....I hope she can serve me as well as my satchel did...

It’s been a while since my last post but I’ve been so busy with work and my Stylist course. It is almost done and 5 months from now I will be a qualified Stylist!!!

Whilst looking for inspiration for my latest assignment, I went for a little stroll down Covent Garden with my lovely friend Sam. We decided to walk into Zara and oh my! Am I glad we did!

I know I have said this before but I am just OBSESSED with the studs and spikes trend that is so in at the moment. It is all so Vivienne Westwood.

Don’t, get me wrong, I love to dress in pencil skirts and elegant blouses and stilettos, but at heart I am a grunge mixed with a hippie.

When I asked my friends and family to describe my style, for one of my assignments,  they all said 'glamorous and classy'. I guess that is due to my profession at the moment. I work in an office environment and obviously need to look presentable so my wardrobe reflects that at this time in my life. Lots of blouses, blazers and tailored trousers and waistcoats.

If you dig a bit further into my wardrobe however, my secret stash of grunge/hippie pieces emerge.  And lately I have been noticing (maybe because it happens so rarely nowadays) that I feel most comfortable when I am in my grunge boots, a baggy top and studded leggings.

So Hallelujah to this season's trends! They make it easier for me to incorporate my love of grunge fashion into my work wardrobe without looking like a total nutcase in business meetings.  'Tis the season of 'Elegant Grunge'!

So, we walk into Zara and we see studs everywhere!  Studded shoes and boots, Blazers and blouses! Amazing!

I tried on a few (15 to be exact) pieces and fell in love with two items;

This gold studded white collar shirt

And this beautiful blazer with spiked shoulders…it literally knocked me off my feet J

Both can be worn with a nice pair of tailored trousers and  finished off with a pair of studded slippers or boots (see my previous posts).

Go on....dare to be different....
